    Alan,

    Having a lot of pets around the house, is there a particular type of leather for sofas that you would recommend? Stain resistant, scratch resistant …?

    Also what are the current leather trends for light & bright family rooms?

    Maureen,

    Having pets as a part of the family does mean that you have to make some sacrifices on your furniture. Pets can ultimately mark anything, so I would recommend a ‘protected leather’ which will resist scratching, but you will give up some of the unique characteristics in the pull up leathers. Some people do choose to go with the pull up leathers anyway and let the pets mark all they want because they like that distressed look and enjoy the softer feel.

    Regarding color trends, most people still gravitate towards chocolate brown. We have seen some nice honey tones, saddle, sage, cream, etc. that will work very well in a bright room and still keep with the local traditional/transitional look. If you are feeling adventurous, we just got in some terrific leather samples…glossy croc, gold embossed patterns, fun stuff!
